Building at the confluence of art and computer science, fieldwave is an artwork that networks multiple open source coding environments with the use of
cloud computing on the Amazon Web Server platform using Node.js. fieldwave was initially conceived of as an exploration into what could be built by leveraging
global internet infrastructure as well as creative coding environments. By building applications for mobile development with openFrameworks and Pure Data,
Title created a global sound sculpture that analyzed pitch in the client sent that data to a web server, then synthesized that same pitch in mobile web browsers.
The end result was a resonant body sending data from Porto, Portugal to Portland Oregon USA, creating a global scale resonant chamber through the internet. fieldwave was
presented at Católica Porto during eNTERFACE (2017) by
Andrew Blanton, Luis Arandas and Jorge Barreiros.
